ERODED

ERODED is a first-person space simulation and survival game in development. Set so far into the universe that your ships clock has overflown, it places players aboard programmable spacecraft in a semi-procedurally generated system. Gameplay combines exploration, mining, trading and ship maintenance, with onboard computers controlling propulsion, navigation, power distribution and life support.

Players move through their vessels’ interiors and interact with individual computers running editable Lua programs. Each computer has its own state and hardware access, allowing players to modify system behavior, create instrument displays and coordinate automated operations. Ship movement uses simulated thrust, inertia and collisions, while survival depends on managing oxygen, fuel, electrical power and heat.

The game supports a persistent multiplayer world in which players and autonomous ships share mineral deposits and market supplies. Ship systems and installed programs continue operating while players are disconnected, allowing automated mining and trading routines to accumulate resources and credits in their absence.
